Aunty Lolly's Books, emphasise empowerment, while providing practical support and encouragement for children and youth.

Each story contains a valuable lesson promoting well-being and character education based on virtue ethics. These lessons, designed through the lens of love, aspire to assist in developing a positive attitude, disposition or character trait while supporting uniqueness, resilience, potential and fulfilment.

Announcement

We are so happy to announce that our latest books, 'Be Your Unique Self' and 'Whiti tōu mārama ki te ao' (Shine Your Light to the World), are officially launched. The English language version is an adaptation of the Māori language version, and both are for children six years upwards. Each provides an inspiring and valuable story about an insecure and lost Caterpillar who is tempted to live in the world as a Snake.

By listening to its heart and having the courage to face its fears, Caterpillar learns that you can live with joy, thrive, and fulfil your true potential by building your self-worth, speaking your authentic truth, and being your unique self.

The Author & Illustrator

The author, Aunty Lolly (Lauren Byrne Allan), has always loved storytelling and, as a child, dreamed of being a writer when she grew up.

On her way to becoming an author, this good-hearted Aunty and Mama has also taught many children across the world. She loves to write meaningful stories encouraging the positive growth of children's hearts and minds.

She says, "Always be kind and true. Live with love, follow your dreams and believe with all your heart."

Lauren is a New Zealander with a Bachelor of Media Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching Early Childhood Education. She is currently studying a Graduate Diploma of Teaching Primary Education from the University of Auckland in New Zealand.

The illustrator, Vahid Danaiefar, is a painter and illustrator born in 1983 in Tehran, Iran. He currently lives and works in Istanbul, Turkey. He obtained a Master's degree in Painting from Sooreh University in Tehran. Besides working as a professional visual artist and having several exhibitions, he has been working as a freelance illustrator for about 10 years and has illustrated several books for children and adults.
